The Isle of Islay is home to most of the wild birds of prey to be found in the British Isles.

The Gearach Forest is a perfect haven for the birds of prey on Islay.

We have Golden Eagles nesting on the Ben at the back of the Forestry.

Hen Harriers, Perigrines, Sparrow Hawks, Buzzards, Kestrels, Merlins and Barn Owls are all often seen hunting in and around the edges of the Gearach Forest.

It necessarily follows that falconers worldwide find the Gearach Forest the perfect place to bring their birds of prey to hunt wild game in wild places.

At certain times of the year, we have Osprey fishing in our loch.

We can taylor make your sporting break to suit your personal preferences.

We welcome all enquiries.

Shaun Henessey and Chris Bird taylor-made their sporting break during the 2008 stag stalking season.

They used the opportunity to fly their goshawk at the Gearach .
